She could rope, ride, and shoot. She could run a ranch, or a general store. She earned her right to stand beside the men, and won a revered place in America’s cultural landscape.  She could do a day’s work with the best of them, but she could slip into a dress and turn every man’s head at a dance.  All the dirt, dust, and sweat couldn’t hide the rugged beauty of the Old West cowgirl!

The modern American cowgirl is an amazing mixture of past and present. She is a rancher, an entrepreneur, a rodeo queen, a wife, a mother. All of these tasks she accomplishes with a strength and grace worthy of her Old West predecessors.
